Woops, got it working now. I was running an old version of the map every time I tested it. Silly tired person.

If I make larger than 20x20x20 does that make the bag bigger in the game?

Now I really need to head off to bed. Working next 3 days.

No, it will not make it bigger in the game, what it will do is shift the center of the object which will make it difficult to place on the floor or in an exact spot. All 3d objects have boxes that are sized to take up the same amount of space as the object itself. If you want different sizes you will need to create a gsm for each size. I can do that.

Your OP says you have blurry textures from afar.

Can you give me a good example of this blurry effect in a default map.

Convention Hall day. Turn off the Last Resort mod. Look at any distant sign and change your distance from it.

The issue with fussiness is caused by the the game mip mapping the bmp textures as we suspected.

How to turn this off will take a bit more digging.

Fortunately the game doesn't treat tga's the same way. Use TGA instead of bmp and fuzziness is gone completely.
To be honest if we can get higher targa dimensions, I would test conversion of all textures of mission "L" to TGA as a test for quality. Light Maps build doesn't seem to be affected by this. Only large textures tiled over a large area.

The render distance will take more digging also.
