In the past it has been hard to troubleshoot because of a lack of good information from people who have this issue. Thanks for hanging in here and not giving up.
I have five Windows 10 machines at home and none of them have this problem. 4 out of 5 worked perfectly from the beginning and the last machine was a laptop that needed to have 800x600 enabled in the driver.
I don't know why the replacement XVID movies solve the problem for a lot of people but not everyone.
May I ask why you installed the K-lite codec pack? Perhaps that also should be uninstalled?
Final question: Did you reboot after uninstalling LAV? Maybe that makes a difference?

I just tried with the CCCP pack
it dosent work with the 64 bit version
and i dosent work with the 32 bit version...
Anyway, i saw that CCCP install the LAV filters too.. so thats extra confusing
Also, i restarted my pc after each instal of cccp.
So CCCP is not the solution for me.

Lol i probably installed k-lite codec pack a long time ago, btw i removed it with the LAV too.
LAV was included in k-lite pack, so i removed everything.
And yes, i rebooted after any codec modifications

Are you doing all these things on the admin account or regular user account in Windows?
What version of Windows 10 is it?

Have you tried to over-write the original Swat 3 movies with the XVID replacement movies AND confirmed that you had the XVID codec installed?
Windows 7 doesn't natively come with the XVID codec.
