Where can I find the original values for .dat files? was created by nyleken
Been messing around with Enhancements 1.5 and making my own changes to it but I'd like to revert a change Finn made to the dynamic movement speed and I've forgotten what the original values were.

I assume you have the GOG.com or Steam version...
"Swatdata.res" in the main Swat 3 folder can be renamed to a .zip file extension. The zip file contain sub folders SWATDATA\Data.
I think this is what you are looking for. Probably specifically "swt_data.dat"
PS: don't forget to rename it back to "Swatdata.res" when you are done and any changes you make should be outside this file in a mod of course

Got it, thanks!
Based on my observations it seems that Finn's mod changes some of the room clearing that the AI does. Notably, the pointman during the Import/Export mission doesn't clear the left corner of the store as he enters. It's a little unusual and I have no idea what Finn changed.

I have never tried the mod to be honest. Don't know how he would have done that unless he modified the time that AI search? Usually the AI look for threatnode entities (from my understanding) for room clearing like you describe. Threat nodes are in the compiled .SCN map files so unless he hacked it I imagine he may have tweaked the configuration settings of Swat? Lesser search time = ignoring threat nodes?
Wild guesses on my part.

He halved the threat entry from 30 to 15 in the config.dat file. Figured it out after some experimentation.
Never knew that would actually change room clearing procedures. Might be fun to experiment with.
